Identify professional members of the community with commitment to service.

Introduce prospective members by informing them about RI and our club’s service projects.  Talk about benefits and responsibilities of being a member and describe past & present projects.

Invite prospective member to a meeting.  Educate about Rotary.

Making continuing education & training for members a regular club activity.

Recognizing existing members for their contributions to club projects and activities.

Determine clubs goals for upcoming year.

Educate club about Foundation and encourage club members to participate and support the Foundation financially.

Identify, select and implement fundraising strategies to raise funds for MSR and service projects.

Educate on polio eradication ensuring club members remain informed & involved until world is certified polio free.

Hold fundraising events to support Rotary’s US $200 Million Challenge.

International projects:    Chairs:  Barb Maves/Alice Thomas   Committee:  Mir Ali, Beth Quarles, Jim Stewart, Jeff Rapkin, Gautam Phookan, Devon Yoho, Nancy Dailey, Richard Dailey, Yasemin Tunc, Saber Bahrami, Barbara Alveraz ( community contact – non Rotarian).

Open World Program:   Chair:  Jeff Rapkin    Committee:  Alan Wilson, David Riggs, Kathy Rapkin

Open World Program brings emerging leasers from Eurasian countries to the USA in order to give them firsthand exposure to the American system of participatory democracy and free enterprise.    6 Russian Delegates arrive Oct 21 and depart Oct. 29.

Recruit host families.

Contacts w/ federal, state, or local government agencies, legislators, civic organizations and NPO’s, & business & education communities.

Guest Speakers:    Chair:  Beverly Wilson   Committee:  All MSR Members

Each month selected members are responsible to recruit speakers and report info to Bev.

Community Service Projects:   Chair:  David Riggs   Committee:  John Drumm, Gerry Cryanowski, Mike Schmaltz, Brian Cox

Address the needs of our community and communities in other counties; identify, contact, & implement service projects to involve club members.

Mike Ellis Rotary Park:   Chair:  Bruce Moore    Committee:  Brian Donley, DevonYoho, Jay Gillette, Brian Cox, Mike Schmaltz Monte Foist

Goal is to maintain the park area for all to enjoy.

Help youth, Rotarians & community-at-large to more completely understand, encourage & foster the principles of Rotary & the objects of “Service Above Self”

Contact high schools for approval in fall for students to compete

Rotary Youth Exchange:   Team:  Kathy Rapkin, Chris Mahon, Ron Kovac, Pat Garofolo (noon club) & Joann McKinney (noon club)

Recruit prospective outbound students from local high schools.

Educate community and club members of RYE.

Recruit host families/provide orientation.

Recruit club members to be involved w/ student while on exchange.

Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA)   Chair:  John Horowitz   Committee:

Recruit potential students w/ leadership potential from local high schools in Delaware Co., ages 14-19.

Interact:    Chair:  Debbie Winkle   Committee:

Yorktown High School.  Chartered in 2008.  Current club President  Molly Wolfe.

Service club for HS students ages 14-18.

The club is self-governing & self –supporting,  MSR is the supporting club.

Club must complete at least 2 community service projects, one of which furthers international understanding & goodwill.

Helps develop leadership and personal integrity.

Involvement w/club community service projects.
